He graduated from the Queensland College of Art in Brisbane in 2024.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMariño Brito's artistic practice encompasses painting, papermaking and printmaking. With a background in psychiatry, his artwork combines sensitive depiction of human relationships with a love for painterly materials.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHis incomplete shapes and ambiguous field of his paintings seek to create a sense of intimacy between the subjects and with the viewer allowing the eye to move freely around the simultaneously energetic and delicate fields.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn 2023 he was awarded the Iain Turnbull Award from Griffith University Queensland.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eJorge Mariño Brito has participated in exhibitions in Perth, Sydney, Bundaberg and Brisbane; and has work in permanent collections at the Griffith University Art Museum (GUAM) and the State Library of Queensland.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn 2025 Jorge was selected as a finalist in the Brisbane Portrait Prize and the Churchie Emerging Art Prize in Brisbane. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/mitchellfineartgallery.com\/collections\/jorge-marino-brito\" title=\"Jorge Mariño Brito artworks at Mitchell Fine Art\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eVIEW MORE JORGE MARIÑO BRITO WORKS\u003c\/a\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e","products":[],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0555\/7049\/7854\/collections\/Hero_-_Fearing_Not_the_Wet_111.5x121.5cm.jpg?v=1779324038","url":"https:\/\/mitchellfineartgallery.com\/de\/collections\/these-i-singing-in-spring-jorge-marino-brito.oembed","provider":"Mitchell Fine Art","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
