EXHIBITION: 'Spring Salon'

EXHIBITION: 'Spring Salon'

1 - 26 October 2024

Aboriginal & Contemporary Art Exhibition

Spring is upon us and with it we welcome new fashion, saying goodbye to the old, and indulging in new statement pieces and refreshing and restyling our spaces.

‘Spring Salon’, is an exhibition of Indigenous and Contemporary artworks drawn from the Gallery stockroom that seek inspiration from the seasonal change reflecting a lighter and brighter time of the year.

This season's spring colours are subdued and include apricot, blue, lilac and yellow tones and the artworks in the exhibition evoke spring.

The artworks featured in the exhibition each respond to the season differently – with colour, texture and a sense of renewal connecting the works in harmony.

Artists featured include Bernard Ollis, Carlos Barrios, David Hayes, Eunice Napanangka Jack, Jeff Makin, Kim Wilson, Lucy Lumoo, Margaret McIntosh and Matthew Cheyne.

The exhibition is showing from 1st – 26th October 2024 at Mitchell Fine Art, 86 Arthur St in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.

** There will be no opening events.
