Congratulations to Min-Woo Bang on his selection as finalist in the 2025 Calleen Art Award at Cowra Regional Art Gallery.
Born in Seoul, Australian landscape painter Min-Woo Bang attended the South Korean National Art High School before immigrating to NSW, Australia.
Min-Woo Bang’s cloudscape paintings are both ethereal and mesmerising, exploring the intricate relationship between light, atmosphere, and time. Struck with the charm of the Australian landscape and the absolute enormity of our skies, Bang’s primary subject matter is the allure of our natural surroundings and the ephemeral beauty of our skies.
