Congratulations to Mirra Whale on her selection as a finalist in the 2022 Fisher's Ghost Art Award with her painting 'The Procession'.
The Fisher's Ghost Art Award is an annual art prize hold at the Campbelltwon Art Centre in Sydney and invites artists to submit works in a variety of artistic categories and mediums.
The acquisitive prize, now in its 60th year, offers $60,000 in prize money for the Open Award. The winner will be announced on Friday 4 November 2022
Mirra Whale is a Sydney based artist who explores everyday, 'banal and commonplace' subjects and presents them from another angle. Her artworks explore the formal and conceptual limits of the genre of still life.
Mirra has been a finalist in several art prizes including the Dobell Drawing Prize, Fishers Ghost Art Award, Doug Moran National Portrait Prize and the Portia Geach Memorial Award.
