Dylan Sarra at Tweed Regional Gallery

Dylan Sarra features in the exhibition Indelible: The Poetry of Decay at Tweed Regional Gallery, NSW from 30 May 2026.

Dylan Sarra is a Taribelang/Gooreng Gooreng artist from Bundaberg. With a focus on exploring identity and place, Sarra uses a range of disciplines such as print, digital works and sculpture to gently persuade an audience into humanising the Indigenous experience.

It is Dylan Sarra’s aim that all people can not only be intrigued by indigenous culture, but they can also start to appreciate the role we all play in acknowledging First Nations people.

Indelible: The Poetry of Decay presents selected pieces by Australian artists who explore forms of decay through visually poetic expressions. Encompassing cultural, physical, psychological and metaphorical forms of decay, the works speak of tragedies, the hauntingly beautiful, and the perpetual nature of life and death.

Includes works by Kirsten Coelho, Michael Cook (Bidjara), Dan Elborne, Sarah Rayner, Dylan Sarra (Taribelang/Gooreng Gooreng), and Henri van Noordenburg.

The exhibition will be on display from 30 May - 16 August 2026.

An Opening Event will be held on Friday 29 May, 6pm.
