Darwin based artist Franck Gohier's bold, satirical practice draws on pop culture, politics and the layered histories of Australia.

Gohier is an observer of life and world events. His artwork is bright, playful, and humorous at first glance, but underneath it tackles serious subjects such as colonial history, environmental issues, politics, social justice, and cultural identity

His latest exhibition continues that trajectory: drawing on the iconography of Western comics to explore cattle culture, consumerism and the entanglements of identity and history.
