Indra Dodi is an Indonesian contemporary artist whose practice centres on figurative painting as a form of visual storytelling.

He is known for combining childlike drawing, expressive brushwork, handwritten text, and symbolic imagery into paintings that are playful on the surface yet often explore complex emotional and social themes.

Through his work he reminds us of the importance of recovering a child's perspective highlighting that adults become constrained by convention, whereas children naturally question accepted rules.

This philosophy explains why his paintings often reject realistic colour, proportion and perspective.
