Monochrome, now in its fourth iteration is intended as a statement that defies colour in favour of a monochromatic narrative.

The gallery walls, adorned with a striking collection of predominantly black and white artworks, invite the viewer into a realm where the absence of colour does not signify monotony but rather an exploration of form, texture, and emotion.

This curated display showcases a mix of artworks by esteemed Australian artists such as Carlos Barrios and Idris Murphy, and the monumental large-scale painting by George Tjungurrayi. Each image speaks in the universal language of contrasts - black against white, light against shadow, simplicity against complexity.

At the heart of the exhibition lies a profound appreciation for the timeless sophistication of a black and white palette. Here, colours are not missed but celebrated through the purity and clarity they bring. The starkness of black juxtaposed with lighter shades of white creates a visual smorgasbord that is intended to resonate on a deeper level with the viewer, transcending the traditional observations and rules of form and colour.
