13 September - 8 November 2025
Dylan Sarra solo exhibition is showing at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery until 8th November 2025.
Based on research conducted through Sarra's First Nations Fellowship with the Queensland Museum, the exhibition explores the juxtaposition of Gregory Blaxland's settlement in the Bundaberg region during the mid 19th century and the thriving Aboriginal community that had existed on these lands for thousands of years.
Reflective of both his printmaking and sculptural practice, Dylan Sarra takes the viewer on an emotional journey through his familial history and the interweaving of this with the colonial narrative that exists for this region.
With the support of Queensland Museum, Dylan Sarra has been able to access extensive records and significant artefacts that have informed the curatorial focus of and given new direction to his arts practice.
This is an Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery exhibition.
