Peter Hudson in UniSC Art Exhibition

Peter Hudson in UniSC Art Exhibition

Peter Hudson is featured in the exhibition 'Marking Time 30 Years of the UniSC Art Collection' showing at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Sippy Downs Queensland until 18 April.

Queensland artist Peter Hudson draws largely on contemporary Australian history for inspiration in his art making. For Hudson, regular painting trips and sketching ‘en-plein air’ form an integral part of his art-making process in capturing the spirit or essence of the landscape.

With more than 1,000 works, the UniSC Art Collection is now the most extensive public art collection on the Sunshine Coast. To mark UniSC's 30th anniversary, Marking Time presents over 100 works drawn from the Collection.

The title gestures to the act of keeping records and the way art registers the passage of time. Marking Time is a pause for reflection, an invitation to look back, look closer, and look forward, and to acknowledge and celebrate the generosity of the many individuals who have supported the growth of UniSC and the Collection.

Event -  Saturday 11 April, 12-1pm.
Join Kim Guthrie, Peter Hudson and Susan Schmidt as they share insights into their work in Marking Time, as well as their broader practice and connection to the UniSC Art Collection.
