We came across Mitchell Fine Art while strolling around the gallery neighbourhood of Fortitude valley. Being from Sydney we had not been familiar with the Gallery. Meeting Mike and Sharon was a fantastic experience. Nothing was too much trouble, they gladly got numerous pieces out for us to look at and their knowledge of indigenous artists was invaluable in helping us purchase a piece by Walungkura Napanangka. To our surprise, when we received the piece , accompanying it was a series of original photos , I assume Mike had taken of the Walungkura many years ago depicting her at different stages of painting our actual piece. We recently acquired two paintings for our new property. The gallery was welcoming and displayed a variety of artistic styles. Sharon was extremely accommodating. When she didn’t have what we were specifically after on display, she went above and beyond to help us find what we were after. Delivery was prompt and on time. Fantastic choice of Aboriginal paintings in Brisbane! Mike knows his stuff and there's a wonderfull choice of artists and paintings. We arrived a little late on a Saturday afternoon and nothign was too hard even if we were a bit undecided between 2 really nices artworks. Super friendly, never pushy at all, great advice so really recommended and we'll come back !

Loved visiting this fine gallery last week to take in the Jan Thomson exhibition. The staff we met were very welcoming, engaging and informative. A very accessible gallery in every sense - especially for those with less mobility. Easy off street parking and definitely wheelchair friendly. Thank you for making our visit so memorable. The Mitchell fine Art Gallery is always a treat, we’ve experienced several opening nights and having direct access to the Artists is fabulous. The location is convenient to James St precinct and the gallery space is perfect.This week we purchased a beautiful piece by Margaret McIntosh, we obviously love it but the service and follow up from the team was first class. If you get the chance to enjoy an exhibition please don’t miss it - highly recommended.

Wonderful experience connecting with and purchasing artwork from Mitchell Fine Art. Mike and Sharon and their team are first and foremost about creating a community of artists and collectors and art industry folk, which allows a personal introduction to the creators behind the art. There are quite a few reasons why I'd commend MFA however main 3: 1. The website - It's quick and easy to use. High quality art work & I could pick my favourites in my own time 2. The Gallery - High quality works, well displayed & upon inspecting my favourites they were easily accessible to view & the staff quickly pick-up on my preferences providing alternative options (but not to many to confuse) 3. Staff - Upon entering the gallery you will immediately feel relaxed & welcomed.
