Eileen’s paints stories from her father’s ancestral country and depicts a site near her homelands in the Western Desert of Central Australia. The site is known as Tjitjurrulnga, a rockhole west of Kintore.
Eileen represents this area using a series of parallel and arching lines of the sandhill country. The lines of hills diverge and then meet up again to reveal a desert water source located in the rock hole.
The ancestral women travelled to this site to gather the wood that was used to make nulla nulla’s, shields and boomerangs.
