This painting shows Greeny’s depiction of “Yam Dreaming”. The works portray the root system of the Bush Yam as it grows underneath the ground. It is, a native food source for the Anmatyerre people.

The Yam is collected and generally collected by the women and cooked over hot coals.

The colours of the painting indicate different stage of growth, season and time.
