This painting shows Kathleen’s depiction of ‘Bush Seed Dreaming’. It represents her country and the native bush food that grow in the Anmatyerre region in Central Australia.
The women are responsible for collecting native bush seeds which   are then ground to make a flour which is then used to make traditional bush damper.

The young girls accompany the women to learn which seeds to collect and how to make the bush damper.

The lines represent the travels of the women and young girls across the country.
