"There is something comforting that is forged in daily rituals. Setting a table with salt, pepper, a glass of water or wine. Picking a posey of flowers from the curb side, bringing a token gesture of nature into our concrete homes.

The constant shift of adorning one's home within the parameters of necessity and beauty.

It is these small moments that I cherish and try to capture in my pared back works. It is these rituals that have become more relevant, and precious due to these times of the pandemic and uncertainty. I want to capture the creased tablecloth or empty plate, a pot of tea, or a spoon singing reference of that tea, of meal finished with only the remanence of a feast devoured, ready for the daily ritual to roll into the days to follow and replay the simple beauty of daily life with gratitude."
