Topsy’s paintings depict the Sandhills or 'Tali'of her country near Nyirrpi, in the desert of Central Australia.

It is the story that was passed onto her by her father, which she paints using small dots in a series of grouped colours. The design mimicking the wind blowing across desert dunes and the subtle shifts in scrub vegetation.

Topsy says 'I paint my father's country west of Yuendumu. He was a Yuendumu man, a Warlpiri man. Sandhills and scrub country, same as Lily (her sister), same Dreaming.

The Dreaming stays the same [but its] the colours, I always like to use new colours, colours of the land, and the sky, storm clouds and sunrise and sunsets”.
