This painting shows the women's ceremony associated with the rockhole site of Mukula, east of Jupiter Well in the remote Great Sandy desert in Western Australia.
During ancestral times a large group of Tingari women came from the west and stopped at this site gathering bush foods and to perform ceremony.
The painting was passed to Yinarupa by her father’s mother, a Warlpiri woman.
In this painting Yinarupa has depicted Mawlyati (spears), Puli (rocks), Tali (sandhills) and rockholes where drinking water is collected.
The women wear hand woven hairstring skirts for ceremony and this story is passed to the younger women through song and dance.
