Congratulations to Min-Woo Bang and Miriam Innes who are finalists in the 2024 KAAF (The Korea-Australia Arts Foundation) prize in Sydney.
The KAAF Art Prize is an annual art prize that aims to foster multiculturalism within Australian society by bringing artists together from diverse ethnicities.
In its 9th year, the KAAF Art Prize is open themed and accepting of a range of mediums on two-dimensional formats. The prize has both acquisitive and non-acquisitive cash prizes.
The exhibition for the winners and finalists will be held from 22nd November - 17th January 2025 at the Korean Cultural Centre Australia Gallery in Sydney.

Miriam Innes is an Irish artist now living in Gympie QLD and is best known for her charcoal drawings of hyper-realistic sprawling streetscapes.
Oscillating between two worlds - the natural and built environment - Miriam Innes likens the organic qualities of her medium, charcoal, to the 'bog oak' found close to her home.
Its simplicity, Innes asserts, renders it overlooked and understated, a notion echoed in her choice of mono-tone palette, yet her cityscapes are rich in their complexity.
