Kerrie Lester's artwork has a playful balance of serious observation and whimsical humor.

Lester likened her artistic process to that of a bowerbird. She walked through her surroundings and "trampled through the landscape," gathering ordinary objects, kitschy items, and everyday observations  recreating assemblages on a canvas.
