This work was created  in Newhaven, a conservation site for the Australian Wildlife Conservancy in NT, north of Alice Springs. The soil, salt plane and bones I was given permission by the local indigenous community to use. These women were also used as trackers for the AWC. They taught us how to track, which is what that work is literally. Though of course I loved how abstract the tracks were.
What was fascinating was the entire story that were able to decipher.
The skeleton is a Goanna that had been taken down by a spider, dragged to it’s hole and so on.
