'Queens Cage' belongs to a body of work which explores the poignancy of human responses to pain and past histories.
The heart can be buried safely, deep in it's cage (both physically and metaphorically).
There is a fine line between holding on and letting go. It creates a tension between longing and fear. A strong cage feels safe, until it becomes constricting, and suffocating.
This is temporary – breathe, in and out, the heart will keep beating.
