In Eunice’s native Warlpiri language, ‘Tali’ means sandhills or sand dunes. In her painting, Eunice has transformed the desert landscape into sweeping bands of colour and rhythm.

Rather than depicting country realistically, she painted it as lived memory and cultural knowledge - rolling dunes, bush vegetation, pathways of water after rain, and ancestral movement across Country.

Her work is closely tied to family legacy and women’s cultural knowledge. Tali is her mother’s story, and it was passed to via through dance and ceremony for her to continue the Dreaming story.
