Collection: Autumn Salon
14 April - 2 May 2026
In this exhibition, we embrace bold new statement pieces, making space for what is to come and embraces the shift in the season and the palette of a space.
Autumn colours are rich, warm, and earthy, reflected in this year’s selection of artworks with features of vibrant reds, deep oranges, golden yellows, muted beige's and olive greens.
'Autumn Salon' is an exhibition of Indigenous and Contemporary artworks drawn from the Gallery stockroom that seek inspiration from the seasonal change reflecting a warmer and vibrant time of the year.
Utilising colour inspiration from our Australian autumn, the artists featured in the exhibition have each responded to the season differently. Colour, texture and a sense of renewal connect the works in harmony.
Artists featured include Ann Thomson, Christine Christophersen, Gloria Petyarre, Jeff Makin, Kathleen Petyarre, Kudditji Kngwarreye, Lucy Loomoo, Makinti Napanangka, Mirra Whale, Nellie Marks Nakamarra, Ningura Napurrula, Paddy Stewart Tjpaltjarri, Peter Hudson, Phyllis Thomas, Rusty Peters, Tatali Napurrula and Thomas Tjapaltjarri.
